From the wheelhose we access the boatmans cabin to the rear and the rest of the accommodation via 4 steps down forward. Descending forward we arrive in the main day space of the barge commencing with a kitchen dinner. Next forward is the vast day room including lounge, a more formal dining area and a study. Central heating is backed up by a Godin solid fuel stove in this room. Forward again to the first cabin with a “drawer” bed 184cm x 118cm. Next the “main” cabin with double bed 190cm x 140cm and a splendid wardrobe crafted with doors from ancient cruise liners. This cruise liner decoration theme continues throughout the vessel to excellent effect. Bathroom separate heads laundry room complete this area before moving on to the “deckhand” cabin with another drawer bed of 180cm x 131cm. Broker's Comments

Residential barge for sale in France. Boatshed Paris is pleased to offer this 38m live aboard barge for sale in Paris. I was impressed by the accommodation of this péniche. The original lines and character have been preserved and the accommodation has a light, bright and airy yet retaining a cosy feel to it. The old boatman cabin has retained it's original style and can be used as an independent guest apartment. The main accommodation comprises 4 rooms bathroom, separate WC and laundry room and the decoration is resolutely nautical. Headroom varies from 1.86 in the wheelhouse to to over 2m and up to 2.52m in the rest of the boat. A mooring in the Paris region is possible and the barge is fully equipped to navigate all the French and European waterways of Freycinet dimensions or over.
